This commercial for Nestlé’s “Nescafé Excella,” with Aya Matsuura’s striking vocals, seems to embody the brand concept of “A spring in your step.” It also drew major attention because it marked Aya Matsuura’s first commercial appearance in about 11 years.
The refreshing visuals, with her bathed in light, also feel like they convey the product’s refreshing quality.
The original song sung by Aya Matsuura, “Hazumu Kimochi” (A Bouncy Feeling), is another highlight.
The song further emphasizes the image of a bright, uplifting taste that encourages a positive mindset and aims to support the fun of everyday life.
Somebody Stole My Gal

This commercial has the atmosphere of a documentary in which we ask the intellectual giant Robert Campbell about Kirin “Joujou Shochu Soda.” It’s striking how he’s asked why people haven’t been drinking it, and why he himself hasn’t until now, showing a pensive expression.
The first half proceeds with a tense look, but when he finally smiles at the end, it clearly conveys how delicious it is.
Alongside the bright shift in visuals, the song “Somebody Stole My Gal” also seems to emphasize the drink’s refreshing taste.

The track is included on her seventh album, Open α Door, released in 2023.
Its lyrics beautifully connect with the vast night sky the child paints in the CM.
The words evoke a mystical night sky, creating a dreamy atmosphere.
For adults, it also stirs a nostalgia for childhood, and Aimer’s voice moves the heart even more deeply.

The CM song is Boys Town Gang’s classic disco tune “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” Its straightforwardly uplifting sound evokes a summery vibe and perfectly fits the situation of enjoying a frappe.
