Catchy Commercial Songs [2024] (11–20)
Original songMochida Kaori
The promotional commercial for ZOZO WEEK, where you can score great deals on clothes, features Riho Yoshioka and Rikito Itagaki and depicts them on a date.
Set in a winter amusement park, the ad is striking for its focus on the new coats the two are wearing, purchased during ZOZO WEEK.
The background music is an original song created for the commercial, sung by Kaori Mochida, the vocalist of Every Little Thing.
It’s a memorable spot for both the eyes and ears, with a star-studded cast that adds to its appeal.
a momentHoshino Gen
Accompanied by a narration that begins, “We run at all times,” the legendary racehorses of their eras appear on screen.
Oguri Cap, Deep Impact—it feels as if these famous horses were racing across the turf just yesterday.
The background music that heightens the emotion, Gen Hoshino’s ‘Isshun’ (A Moment), is such a wonderful song.
I’ve heard that Hoshino wrote this piece specifically for the JRA 70th Anniversary brand commercial, which shows just how deep the sentiment for JRA’s history runs.
This is a moving song you’ll want to keep listening to—whether it brings to mind the great racehorses or the person you love.
You haven’t given up yet, have you?Toukyou Sukapara Daisu Ookesutora

This is a commercial for MARO17, a men’s anti-aging care brand.
In the 2024 “You haven’t given up yet, have you?” version, an original animated video is featured, and there’s even a full version that runs about two and a half minutes.
The background music uses an original song by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra titled “You Haven’t Given Up Yet, Have You?”, and both the visuals and the music are incredibly cool.
It’s one of those commercials that, when it comes on screen, makes you stop what you’re doing and watch, don’t you think?
AdventurerShonan no Kaze
After posing the question “What is a Land Cruiser?” at the beginning of the commercial, it cuts to striking footage of the Dakar Rally, known as the world’s toughest motorsport.
The determined looks of the drivers and mechanics are unforgettable—and incredibly cool.
The CM’s background music features Shonan no Kaze’s newly written track “Bōkensha” (Adventurer).
Its powerful, encouraging lyrics—so in tune with the commercial’s theme—are a major draw.
My WAYMaya Miki
This commercial, themed around being yourself, introduces the insurance suite Best MY WAY.
Miki Maya appears in the ad, singing a song titled “My WAY” with a gentle, resonant voice.
The commercial is beautifully produced, evoking memories of her active days in the Takarazuka Revue.
Original songHosono Haruomi

Combining photos by Haruomi Hosono with graphics by Keiichi Tanaami, this is a PARCO commercial directed by Naoohiro Ukawa.
It announces PARCO’s HAPPY HOLIDAYS campaign, celebrating its 55th anniversary in 2024.
The BGM also includes an original song for the commercial sung by Haruomi Hosono, making it a particularly special commercial work.

sunshineFujihara Sakura

TOSOH’s commercial “Chemistry is a Cheer: Lifetime” is really good.
I think some people will be moved to tears by the narration that says, “It’s okay to make mistakes, it’s okay to get dirty.” Supporting that kind of CM behind the scenes is Sakura Fujiwara’s “sunshine,” which is another tearjerker—you’ll definitely remember this commercial whenever you hear the song! Fujiwara’s singing voice has a mysterious quality, like a mix of head voice and chest voice, and just listening to it makes your heart feel calm.
As for the English lyrics, I recommend translating them yourself and fully immersing yourself in the world of this song, “sunshine”!
