A commercial themed around the Heisei era by Universal Music that aired in December 2025 featured songs by Spitz.
Three of their tracks play in the ad, with Cherry at the beginning.
Released in 1996, it’s one of their signature songs.
Its gentle melody and Masamune Kusano’s soft vocals are soothing to the heart.
Even nearly 30 years after its release, it feels perfectly at home in a commercial—truly a timeless classic.
Maplesupittsu

Released in 1998, this song has been featured extensively in tie-ins, including as a TV drama theme and insert song, as well as in commercials.
The chorus, where Masamune Kusano’s high, soaring vocals shine, is surely familiar to just about everyone.
Its ear-pleasing, beautiful melody further accentuates the bittersweet lyrics, making it incredibly memorable.
The song was used in a Universal Music commercial that aired in December 2025.
Two other Spitz songs were also featured, and this track plays in the final scene of the commercial.
Magic Wordssupittsu

In the third installment of Universal Music’s Heisei-themed commercial series, three Spitz songs are featured, and this is the second one that plays.
Released in 2006, it was also used as the theme song for the film Honey and Clover, which came out the same year.
The lyrics, depicting two people whose hearts remain connected even when they can’t meet, are romantic and utterly enchanting.
Combined with Masamune Kusano’s beautiful vocals, it feels all the more dramatic.
LatataIkuta Rira

Lila Ikuta’s “Latata” was released in 2025 and was used in a Yamazaki Baking Lunch Pack commercial featuring Fuka Koshiba.
Its bouncy rhythm and layered vocals are striking, and their refreshing lightness conveys a positive message.
The lyrics depict the everyday scenes around us and the connections between people, offering encouragement to move forward just as we are.
The commercial straightforwardly shows Fuka Koshiba enjoying a Lunch Pack, with visuals that portray the joy that comes from its delicious taste.

Lips, speak passionately of youOchi Shiho

“Kuchibiru yo, Atsuku Kimi o Katare” is a song by Machiko Watanabe released in 1980.
It was used in a Kanebo commercial at the time of its release and was brought back again starting in 2020.
In the 2026 spot titled “Living is always a work in progress,” Shiho Ochi of Superfly appears.
The first half features a brass arrangement of “Kuchibiru yo, Atsuku Kimi o Katare” as the BGM, and in the second half you can hear Ochi’s singing.
It’s only a single phrase, but her voice conveys not just strength, but also gentleness and warmth.
Stay true to your original intention.AKASAKI

This commercial focuses on the feet as it depicts scenes of various sports practices, conveying ASICS’s commitment to supporting each athlete’s effort.
Through sounds like feet pressing into sand and balls bouncing, it expresses the spirit of striving toward one’s goals.
Further accentuating this powerful atmosphere of perseverance is AKASAKI’s track “Shoshi Kantetsu.” While the sound has a gentle feel, it all the more highlights the message of staying true to one’s resolve that’s embedded in the lyrics.
It’s a piece that vividly evokes the determination to keep working hard without forgetting one’s original intent.
full swingZa Kuromaniyonzu

This commercial highlights how the power of AI is being added to RAKURAKU Cloud, which has long stood by the struggles of people working in companies, and conveys our desire to further enhance their comfort.
By showing a digest of previously aired commercials featuring Kenichi Takito, Natsuko Yokozawa, and Mone Kamishiraishi, it looks back on how various challenges were solved and, with a touch of humor, expresses the intention to leverage those lessons for an even better future.
The song that further accentuates the strong stride toward the future depicted in the visuals is “Full Swing” by The Cro-Magnons.
With a band sound that is both powerful and refreshing, it clearly conveys the spirit of tackling everything with full force.
