Puppet Show: Anpanman and the Prickly Bird

Puppet shows are always a hit with kids, aren’t they? Children watch with sparkling eyes, totally engrossed and leaning forward no matter what the story is.

Anpanman, in particular, is such a classic character that it feels like every child—boys and girls alike—goes through an Anpanman phase.

If you put on an Anpanman story as a puppet show, it’s sure to be a big success! You can even buy Anpanman puppets commercially, and there are plenty of stories to choose from, so it’s highly recommended.

Hula hoop performance

Hula hoop performance

It’s a performance that combines dance with hula hoops—“hula hoop performance.” When you think of hula hoops, you usually picture them spinning around the waist, but you can also spin them around your neck or hands.

Younger children who can’t spin them well still look adorable just holding the hoop and twirling it.

You can decorate the hoops with sparkly tape to make them look more eye-catching.

Try dancing to your favorite song!

Let’s perform a gymnastics routine set to music.

It can have the upbeat feel of dance, while also showcasing elements as gymnastics “skills.” And for the audience, it’s the kind of act that makes you a little nervous, wondering if there will be any slip-ups.

Children are so flexible that they can effortlessly do moves adults could never imagine, which is really surprising.

With a large group, it could become a very impressive performance.

[Balloon Theater] What’s inside the present is…

The fluffy, cute balloon theater is so much fun! We’re introducing the idea for “What’s Inside the Present…”.

In the video it’s performed at a birthday event, but it’s also a fantastic idea for a school entrance ceremony! You’ll get to see children’s sparkling, adorable expressions as they wonder what’s inside the present box.

When you open the lid and the balloon starts to inflate bit by bit, the kids are guaranteed to get excited! Take this opportunity to give it a try.

We’d like to introduce a magic theater where, whenever the little ghost eats some food, its body color mysteriously changes.

Before starting the magic theater, do some fingerplay or a simple hand game to create a relaxed atmosphere with the children.

After that, it’s a great time to begin the magic theater.

Playing a bright, slower-tempo song during the performance can help liven things up.

We recommend creating a simple magic theater with a cheerful, seasonal feel so the children can look forward to their days at the preschool.
