Panel Theater: “Grow Big with the Magic Handkerchief!”

This is a panel theater performance where you cover something with a handkerchief, chant “Grow bigger, bigger!” as a magic spell, then swiftly remove the handkerchief to reveal that the object has grown larger.
You make it by drawing both small and large versions of items on P-paper—a type of paper that sticks to a whiteboard.
It’s especially engaging and educational when the change isn’t just in size but also in form, such as a caterpillar turning into a butterfly or a tadpole into a frog.
True-or-False Quiz

This is the classic True-or-False quiz where you choose whether each answer is correct or incorrect.
In addition to questions kids already know, you can include ones about the teacher’s favorite foods or daily life at kindergarten so the children feel more connected as they play.
Try increasing the difficulty to match their age.
Panel Theater: Which one? Which one? Which could it be?

Animal characters appear in a panel theater, and two silhouettes are shown.
Judging by the shapes, they seem to be things the animals like.
The teacher asks, “Which one, which one, which one is it?” so be sure to encourage the children to answer, “This one!” When you flip the silhouette over, what looked like a fish turns out to be a necktie, and what seemed like an apple is actually a topknot hairstyle…
It’s a panel theater that brings out lots of smiles from the children.
Teachers can also have fun by arranging the motifs themselves!
Dance “PPAP2020”

“PPAP,” which was a huge hit in 2016.
Its 2020 version was released as the Handwashing PPAP.
Created to promote prevention of the novel coronavirus, this handwashing video conveys the idea that by washing our hands we can prevent infection, remove the virus, and help bring peace to the world.
Handwashing is very important—not just for COVID! Children, in particular, often rush through it because they’re eager to get to the next game or snack, but if teachers work hard to learn this dance, they can encourage kids to wash their hands too!
Circle Dance: Everyone Is a Hero

“Minna ga Minna Eiyū” is a song well known as the folk dance standard “Oklahoma Mixer.” In the au commercial, Ai sang an arranged version of this song.
Even small children can do the simple dance, and both adults and kids can enjoy it together.
It works with large or small groups, so I think it’s an easy and fun activity for entertainment.
