Shiritori Train

“Shiritori Train” is a children’s game that’s also played on the NHK program “Okaasan to Issho” (With Mother).
Prepare a train made up of several connected cars, and decide in advance which words will go in the first and last cars.
Then, together with the children, fill in the words that will go in between so the train connects properly.
If everything links up, your Shiritori Train is complete! By thinking up a few possible words to go in the middle and showing them to the children, you can also help develop their thinking skills.
4 Balloon Art Ideas

Celebrate the kids with an impactful performance! Here are four balloon art ideas.
Balloon art is the craft of creating various shapes and designs using balloons.
After inflating the balloons, twist and tie them to make animals or flowers.
It’s great to interact and communicate with the children during the making process so everyone has fun together.
From simple to complex pieces, it can be enjoyed at various levels, making it a highly recommended idea.
Panel Theater: “Grow Big with the Magic Handkerchief!”

This is a panel theater performance where you cover something with a handkerchief, chant “Grow bigger, bigger!” as a magic spell, then swiftly remove the handkerchief to reveal that the object has grown larger.
You make it by drawing both small and large versions of items on P-paper—a type of paper that sticks to a whiteboard.
It’s especially engaging and educational when the change isn’t just in size but also in form, such as a caterpillar turning into a butterfly or a tadpole into a frog.
True-or-False Quiz

This is the classic True-or-False quiz where you choose whether each answer is correct or incorrect.
In addition to questions kids already know, you can include ones about the teacher’s favorite foods or daily life at kindergarten so the children feel more connected as they play.
Try increasing the difficulty to match their age.
[Balloon Theater] What’s inside the present is…

The fluffy, cute balloon theater is so much fun! We’re introducing the idea for “What’s Inside the Present…”.
In the video it’s performed at a birthday event, but it’s also a fantastic idea for a school entrance ceremony! You’ll get to see children’s sparkling, adorable expressions as they wonder what’s inside the present box.
When you open the lid and the balloon starts to inflate bit by bit, the kids are guaranteed to get excited! Take this opportunity to give it a try.
gymnastics routine

Let’s perform a gymnastics routine set to music.
It can have the upbeat feel of dance, while also showcasing elements as gymnastics “skills.” And for the audience, it’s the kind of act that makes you a little nervous, wondering if there will be any slip-ups.
Children are so flexible that they can effortlessly do moves adults could never imagine, which is really surprising.
With a large group, it could become a very impressive performance.
Darkness Theater

Many children feel scared of the dark, right? This “Darkness Theater” lets even those kids enjoy it.
Only the picture inside the theater goes dark.
It’s easy to make: first, put an uncolored drawing—like a coloring page—into a transparent bag such as a Ziploc.
Trace the lines and add colors on top of the Ziploc using a marker.
Then remove the coloring page inside, insert black construction paper, and the theater portion is complete.
But you can’t see the picture like that, can you? That’s where the paper flashlight comes in! Make a flashlight shape out of construction paper that looks like it’s turned on, with light shining out.
Be sure to use bright colors like yellow for the light.
When you insert this flashlight into the Ziploc, the areas “lit” by the flashlight become visible, and your Darkness Theater is complete!
