Paper Cup-chan’s Hide-and-SeekNEW!

[Nursery Teacher Demonstration] The Paper Cup Friends’ Hide-and-Seek [Theater]
Paper Cup-chan's Hide-and-SeekNEW!

A heartwarming little theater where the paper cup characters play hide-and-seek.

After a round of rock-paper-scissors to choose “it,” the hiding paper cup characters tuck themselves inside cups that are even bigger than they are.

Since there are three cups for two paper cups, once everything gets shuffled, kids can’t help but think, “Huh? Which one are they in?” and feel just like the seeker.

It’s exciting to guess right and frustrating to miss, and rather than just listening to a story, you’ll feel as if you’ve joined the paper cup characters and are playing along in this fun theater.

Play with balloons! Birthday partyNEW!

June Birthday Party♪ Let's play with balloons♪ “The Frog Song,” “Denden Mushi, the Snail~,” and “Little Bear in the Rain” (Nursery school event staff)
Play with balloons! Birthday partyNEW!

After asking the children, “What’s everyone’s favorite color?”, we blow up balloons in the colors they mention and play with them.

We draw pictures on the balloons that match each color, and then sing songs related to those pictures.

For example, for a green balloon, draw a frog and sing “Kaeru no Gasshō” (The Frog Chorus).

It’s a fun game where you can look forward to which illustrations will appear and which songs you’ll sing based on the balloon colors.

If you do this at a birthday party, a cake illustration is, of course, a must.

This is a panel theater piece called “Christmas in the Forest.” It tells the story of Santa giving the forest animals the gifts they want for Christmas, all performed on a panel with a cute melody and song.

A long-necked giraffe wishes for a scarf, and a lion wants a crown.

The gifts they desire come out of Santa’s big sack.

A perfect theater piece for a birthday party: the Magic Microwave.

Toss the ingredients into a microwave made from construction paper, close the lid, say a magic spell, give it a spin, and… out comes a magnificent birthday cake! The trick behind this magic microwave is to prepare identical microwaves for the front and back.

On one side, you put in the ingredients; on the back side, you have the finished cake ready.

As you explain the ingredients to the children, pretend to press the microwave buttons and chat cheerfully while you go along.

The kids are sure to love it.
