Transformation Tunnel!

When you go through the transformation tunnel, cows turn into milk and wheat turns into flour! It’s fun to wonder what everything will become.
First, ask the children to identify the original picture, then ask, “What will happen when it goes through the tunnel?” They’re sure to answer with lots of imagination.
In this story, we use the transformed items to make a birthday cake in the end! Let the children with birthdays this month choose their favorite fruits for the topping, and complete a delicious fruit cake.
What will come out? Paper Cup Theater

A thrilling paper cup theater that celebrates a birthday by featuring three actions—“fly,” “run,” and “inflate”! Each paper cup has its own moving mechanism.
Stack two cups and let go to make them jump like a rocket, release your hand and they start running on their own, or add air and they puff up to make an entrance.
Each one shows off its specialty to delight the birthday child.
Attach any illustrations you like to the cups and perform.
The mechanisms are classic, so they’re easy to make!

Fun to guess! Envelope Theater

This is an envelope theater you can use for birthday parties and fun gatherings.
If you put in pictures of vegetables and other items, or illustrations for various events, it also works great as a fun introduction to those occasions.
After cutting the plastic sheet (shrink plastic), trim the envelope to match its size and turn it into a window.
Apply double-sided tape everywhere except the top.
Cut the construction paper to stick alongside the plastic sheet, add double-sided tape, and attach it from the bottom up in order.
For the left and right sides, attach tape only on the front surface.
Peel off the double-sided tape and stick it onto the envelope window.
Insert thick paper or similar to add strength.
Add a handle and decorate it however you like! It’s recommended because it can be used in many different situations.
Three Simple Magic Tricks

Magic that can give children the gift of surprise and excitement.
Professional tricks by magicians are impressive, but if you’re enjoying it with kids, easy-to-understand ideas using familiar items are best.
So here are some magic items you can make easily.
You’ll need practice to perform them, but no special techniques are required.
After performing, reveal the secret and let the kids actually try it themselves and have fun.
It’s also recommended to incorporate items perfect for birthdays, like cakes and candles!
Play with balloons! Birthday party

After asking the children, “What’s everyone’s favorite color?”, we blow up balloons in the colors they mention and play with them.
We draw pictures on the balloons that match each color, and then sing songs related to those pictures.
For example, for a green balloon, draw a frog and sing “Kaeru no Gasshō” (The Frog Chorus).
It’s a fun game where you can look forward to which illustrations will appear and which songs you’ll sing based on the balloon colors.
If you do this at a birthday party, a cake illustration is, of course, a must.
Sea Dance Competition

A performance by teachers dressed up as sea creatures.
Shrimp, crabs, jellyfish, and more make appearances.
It’s visually lively, and the children are delighted.
The costumes are high quality, and the way each creature speaks is well thought out—very entertaining.
What’s inside the box? game

It’s the classic “What’s in the box?” game, often used for TV show segments or party entertainment.
The box has hand holes on both sides, and players reach in and try to guess what’s inside using only their sense of touch.
You can make the box with materials you have on hand, and the items inside can be everyday toys or household objects, so it’s easy to play without preparing anything special.
That said, if you put in something with an unusual or unpleasant texture, it really gets everyone excited.
