Recruit Car Sensor “Carsensor’s High” versionNanao
This commercial conveys the fulfillment and joy of a life with a car through the image of Nanao speeding along in a vehicle.
The fact that the car racing through is an older model is also a key point, suggesting that with Car Sensor you can find your ideal car.
The song used in this commercial is L’Arc~en~Ciel’s “Driver’s High.” Its lyrics and sound capture the exhilaration of driving, and it also conveys a sense of hope—like carving out your own future through your own strength.
In fact, the commercial’s footage is a parody of the song’s music video, so try comparing the two.
SUUMO “Hamada-san’s New Listings” Version
This is a commercial for SUUMO, operated by Recruit.
It’s the familiar SUUMO ad featuring the fluffy green character, and at the beginning of this spot I thought the voice shouting “Stop it!” sounded familiar.
It turned out to be Yuzuki Akiyama, who appeared in the film One Cut of the Dead.
SUUMO is as cute as ever—sometimes watching movies together like a roommate, and even helping set up a date!
Hot Pepper Beauty: ‘Find a New You’ Version
A series of Hot Pepper Beauty commercials featuring Yo Yoshida and Kasumi Arimura as senior and junior colleagues at a company.
Inspired by Yo Yoshida, Kasumi Arimura changes her hairstyle, but the name of the style is so difficult that she can’t even pronounce it properly herself (lol).
And the casual, tousle-haired version of Kasumi Arimura that appears as her inner voice? She’s absolutely adorable.
The way she’s elated and deflated by Yo Yoshida’s words is also super cute.
Zexy “This Month’s Zexy” April 2019 issue (June issue)
Aired in April 2019, this is the TV commercial for the June 2019 issue of Zexy, the monthly magazine published by Recruit that is packed with bridal information.
Zexy’s TV commercials always come in two types: one is drama-style, and the other explains the magazine’s detailed content—this one is the magazine-introduction type.
