It’s written and composed by Shinji Tanimura and is one of his signature songs alongside “Subaru.” It was originally written for Momoe Yamaguchi, and her version is wonderful no matter how many times you listen.

The song playing as the background music in the ad is an original track produced specifically for it.

It’s a bright, funky tune that seems to capture in music the friendly, cheerful atmosphere of the Shirato family enjoying their day off at a Justin Bieber event—so catchy it’ll make you want to dance.

This is a commercial from the Google Pixel and SoftBank campaign that aired at the end of 2018.

The members perform a parody of DA PUMP’s 2018 smash hit “U.S.A.” with sharp choreography.

The twist is that a girl in the audience calls out, “That’s the wrong song!”

Matsu wa by the female duo Aming, made up of Takako Okamura and Haruko Kato.

Released in 1982 as Aming’s debut single, the song became a massive hit and remains their signature track.

At first it seems like a sad love song about an unattainable romance, but if you read the lyrics carefully, you might be surprised by how slightly dark they feel.

Still, their single-minded devotion comes through clearly.

Even though many years have passed since its release, it’s a song you still hear often on TV shows and in commercials.
