SoftBank Smartphone Debut Project CM “Promise for Your Smartphone Debut” 30 seconds

The commercial for the smartphone debut project featuring NiziU, titled “The Promise of Your Smartphone Debut,” uses NiziU’s song “Chopstick.” Included on their 2021 album “U,” the track is based on the melody of “The Celebrated Chop Waltz,” composed by Euphemia Allen.

Just like the original piece, the more you listen, the more addictive the melody becomes—high impact and irresistibly catchy! It makes you want to sing and dance along.

The lyrics convey the feeling that, like a pair of chopsticks, everything is only truly fun when you’re together with someone special.

As Masaharu Fukuyama murmurs, “AI can do anything,” AI Mashaharu tells him there’s a concern that, at this rate, data processing won’t be able to keep up.

In response, it introduces SoftBank’s ongoing construction of an AI data center in Japan.

The message powerfully highlights this as an initiative to accelerate the expanding use of AI.

The background music features “Let’s Become a Family,” a familiar tune from this commercial series.

Released in 2011, the song is also well-loved as a wedding staple.

Nogizaka46’s Teresa Ikeda draws attention with her signature pose! VTuber Houshou Marine also appears in SoftBank’s new commercial, “Kami Juuden Girl 2.”

In this second commercial in the “Kami Jūden Girl” series, Eisa Ikeda and VTuber Marine Houshou make appearances.

It opens with Ikeda forgetting to charge her smartphone; when she plugs in the charging cable, the CM shifts into an animated world.

The story shows Kami Jūden Girl and Marine Houshou bustling about in the animation, and by the time Ikeda finishes getting ready in the real world, her phone is fully charged.

Beyond the fun, slapstick-style presentation, the ad leaves a strong impression with how quickly the phone finishes charging.

This is a commercial that humorously showcases how astonishingly powerful the new iPhone—also available from SoftBank—is through comedic reactions.

The moment the Shirato family hears how powerful it is, they’re stunned and get blown backward endlessly, creating a distinctive world that conveys the impact.
