Kewpie commercial songs: pleasant, popular commercial tunes (1–10)
Original songADAM at

In the mayonnaise commercial “Blossoming Tomatoes,” an original song by keyboardist ADAM at is featured.
He’s also known for fronting an endlessly danceable band, and this CM song lives up to that reputation with an irresistible groove that gets your body moving.
It begins gently, then the piano, drums, and bass all kick in and take off with lively energy.
But it’s not just a high-energy track—the refreshing, refined feel is a big part of its charm.
Perfect for when you want to cook joyfully, almost like you’re dancing!
egg yolkBei Satō

This warm-toned commercial focuses on eggs—the same ones used in Kewpie Mayonnaise—and conveys steps toward the future.
It highlights how important protein is as a nutrient, expressing the hope that its benefits will help many people live energetically.
Accompanying the gentle visuals is the song “Tamago no Kimi” by Bay Sato.
The lyrics play on the double meaning of “kimo”/“kimi,” intertwining egg yolk and “you,” and deliver a heartfelt message encouraging us to live each day with vitality.
Tarako, tarako, tarakokigurumi

When you think of Kewpie commercials, this is probably the one that comes to mind, right? The song used in the cod roe pasta sauce ad was Kigurumi’s “Tarako Tarako Tarako.” A child-actor audition was held specifically for this commercial, and the two selected formed the duo Kigurumi.
After some member changes, they ended their activities in 2009.
The insanely catchy melody and lyrics get stuck in your head after just one listen! Back then, lots of people imitated the dance, too.
If you read all the lyrics, they depict cod roe steadily closing in on hungry people—honestly, it’s a little scary.

Salad of HappinessFukuyama Masaharu

In Kewpie Half’s “Quiche Toast Broccoli” commercial, Masaharu Fukuyama’s song “Shiawase no Salad” (Salad of Happiness) is featured.
Although the song appears on his 2020 album “AKIRA,” its gentle, catchy melody had already drawn attention from its use in commercials before the album’s release.
Vegetables grown in many different places come together on the home table to become a salad, nourishing us humans.
The song carries a deep message: the things we take for granted aren’t truly guaranteed, and we should give thanks every day.
It’s a track that makes you want to appreciate the people who grow the ingredients, transport them, sell them, and the parents who prepare the meals.
Tarako, tarako, tarakoYuppa, nattsu
This is a Kewpie commercial featuring Velvet Gene and Vero dancing the “Dekoboko Dance.” On top of both of their hands and heads sit Kewpie dolls wearing tarako (cod roe) hats, which is just irresistibly cute.
Along with news that the tarako’s umami has been enhanced, the ad also introduces a campaign where you can win a big cushion.
The background music is an arranged version of the familiar “Tarako Tarako Tarako” song.

Shenandoah

Among Kewpie’s commercials themed “ON THE EARTH.
Plants inherit the EARTH,” this one focuses on potatoes.
Through narration and visuals about the town of Park Avenue and its connection to potatoes, it draws attention to the environments in which vegetables are grown.
The American folk song “Shenandoah” is used as the background music, giving the impression of quietly reflecting on the town and its produce.
With warm music and imagery, it’s a commercial that deepens awareness of the environment and heightens appreciation for vegetables.
