Kewpie commercial songs: pleasant, popular commercial tunes (1–10)
Original song

The commercial “Hello Lemotar” features lemon tartar sauce with a refreshing lemon flavor that whets the appetite.
It shows the sauce being drizzled over various fried foods—karaage, white fish fry, and fried shrimp—and just imagining the taste makes you want to murmur, “That looks so good…” The background music is an original CM track with gentle scat vocals and a light, catchy rhythm.
The narration is by voice actor Narumi Kaho, and her bright voice, combined with the overall tone, gives the commercial a clean, refreshing feel.
Original songDanika Portz

The Kewpie Light commercial, “These Two Don’t Contradict,” features an original song sung by American singer-songwriter Danica Poltz.
The songwriter and composer is Eric Zay, a multi-instrumentalist known for creating numerous commercial tunes.
He has also performed as a support drummer for SUGIZO of LUNA SEA and LISA of m-flo.
The country-tinged, refreshing melody paired with Danica’s bright vocals brings cheer to listeners.
It’s a track that makes you want to keep listening.
Original songOnetwenty
It’s a memorable commercial featuring dressing shown against a backdrop of skyscrapers and blue sky.
It’s for Kewpie’s Deep-Roasted Sesame Dressing, and the product highlighted in this ad isn’t a regular dressing—it’s the half-calorie version! The message emphasizes that it’s just as delicious while being lower in calories, which surely appealed to many viewers.
The BGM is an original song created specifically for this commercial, with Atsushi Kimura composing and Onetwenty handling the lyrics and vocals.
The mellow tone and moving vocals are truly captivating!
Original songAbe Umitaro
This is a commercial for GREEN KEWPIE, the plant-based food line developed by Kewpie.
The softly illustrated fields, paired with gentle piano tones and a calm narration, leave a memorable impression.
The piano BGM is an original piece for the commercial by Umitaro Abe, and the narration is by Yuji Hasegawa.
Original songIshii Yuina, Yoneda Ayuka
This is a commercial for Kewpie’s Pasta Handmade Oil Sauce, which lets you make delicious pasta just by pouring it on.
Set to an original track that evokes 80s Western rock, the ad shows pasta being prepared deftly, making its convenience look very appealing.
Another highlight is the contrast between the rock-style accompaniment and the cute singing voice of a child!
Original songADAM at

In the mayonnaise commercial “Blossoming Tomatoes,” an original song by keyboardist ADAM at is featured.
He’s also known for fronting an endlessly danceable band, and this CM song lives up to that reputation with an irresistible groove that gets your body moving.
It begins gently, then the piano, drums, and bass all kick in and take off with lively energy.
But it’s not just a high-energy track—the refreshing, refined feel is a big part of its charm.
Perfect for when you want to cook joyfully, almost like you’re dancing!
Tarako, tarako, tarakokigurumi

When you think of Kewpie commercials, this is probably the one that comes to mind, right? The song used in the cod roe pasta sauce ad was Kigurumi’s “Tarako Tarako Tarako.” A child-actor audition was held specifically for this commercial, and the two selected formed the duo Kigurumi.
After some member changes, they ended their activities in 2009.
The insanely catchy melody and lyrics get stuck in your head after just one listen! Back then, lots of people imitated the dance, too.
If you read all the lyrics, they depict cod roe steadily closing in on hungry people—honestly, it’s a little scary.
