WatermarkEnya

A genre of music often used when you want to relax is healing music.
There are various styles, but when it comes to healing music, Enya is indispensable.
Enya is a musician from Ireland and a multi-instrumentalist who handles everything from vocals to arrangement herself.
This is her track Watermark, released in 1988.
The piano’s timbre and the distant vocals make for a magnificent piece!
Air on G StringJ.S.Bach

Personally, this is the song I can’t sleep without.
Its deeply soothing sound guides me into a peaceful slumber.
I feel that one of music’s unique qualities is expressing what words cannot, and this is exactly the kind of piece I want you to simply listen to and feel for yourself.
Perhaps songs that have been loved for centuries possess this kind of mysterious allure.

My beloved ChristineRichādo Kureidāman

It’s one of Richard Clayderman’s signature pieces.
It opens with a wonderful piano intro, and what follows is superb as well.
Easy listening often doesn’t leave much of an impression because it’s played at a low volume, but if you play it loud, I’m sure its brilliance will come through.
crystal bowl

Crystal bowls are instruments made from a crystal powder called silica (quartz) sand.
When struck or rubbed, they produce very long, beautiful, and relaxing tones.
They are used as a sound-healing tool and enjoy a quiet popularity.
It is said that listening to them in a relaxed state can make you feel as though your body is being purified.
Gregorian chant

Gregorian chant is an unaccompanied, monophonic form of sacred music used in the Roman Catholic Church.
Its history is ancient: it is said to have been codified in the early 7th century and developed through the 9th to 10th centuries.
Its flowing rhythm and the solemn melodies sung by male voices have a calming effect on the heart.
Sanukite

The stone known by the scientific name “Sanukite,” which is unearthed only around Goshikidai in Kagawa Prefecture even on a global scale, is rare, but when struck it can produce high-frequency sounds up to 1,000,000 hertz and is said to have a very strong healing effect.
Even simply listening to it as sound is truly pleasant, and you’ll find yourself wanting to keep listening forever.
