Khoomei is a traditional Mongolian singing technique, dating back to around the 10th century, in which a single vocalist produces two tones simultaneously, like a duet.
In Mongolia, it has long been said that listening to it can cure various illnesses and restore vitality.
Recent research suggests that khoomei contains ultrasonic overtones inaudible to the human ear, which are believed to have such effects.

Alpha waves are said to be important, but among them, the mid-alpha wave state (9–12 Hz) is considered the most important.
When the brain is in a mid-alpha state, anyone can be deeply focused while relaxed and perform at their best.

Compared to the commonly used A=440 Hz in popular music such as rock and jazz, 432 Hz is said to be a more natural frequency.
