Lion commercial songs: Popular commercial songs (21–30)
All Is LoveKaren O & The Kids

This is the song featured in LION’s 120th-anniversary corporate commercial, “Time-Slip Family,” produced in collaboration with Tokyo Graffiti magazine’s “Time-Slip Photo Studio.” The ad has drawn attention for its scenes that faithfully recreate old family photos with the same families as they are today.
Karen O’s warm, gentle vocals with the children make it a particularly charming commercial.
to youMONGOL800

It’s the song used in Lion’s “TOP” commercial.
Since the commercial didn’t display the name, the company reportedly received a flood of inquiries.
The track is included on the second album, “MESSAGE,” released in September 2001.
It wasn’t originally written for the commercial; apparently, it had been performed at live shows for a long time.
Swallowtail Butterfly ~Song of Love~YEN TOWN BAND

It was used in a Soflan Aroma Rich commercial.
In fact, this band originally appeared as a fictional band in the 1996 film Swallowtail, but they went on to release an actual album and singles, and even performed live in 2003 and 2015.
The members are Chara (vocals), Takeshi Kobayashi (keyboards, guitar), and Yukio Nagoshi (guitar).
GreensleevesInguranndo min’yō

Shokubutsu Monogatari was released in February 1992.
It originally began as “Emeron Shokubutsu Monogatari,” launched as part of the Emeron series.
Perhaps because it’s a plant-derived product, the background music is Greensleeves.
This is a traditional English folk song with a melody known as the Romanesca.
The original composition has an unknown author and has been sung since ancient times.
All Is LoveKaren O and za Kizzu

This is LION’s corporate commercial “Time-Slip Family,” released in 2011.
It features a wonderful concept: taking a family photo decades later in the exact same place, with the same members, the same composition, and similar outfits as an old family picture.
The music perfectly suits this heartwarming ad—just hearing it lifts your spirits.
Let It BoogieSazan Ōrusutāzu

The LION “Zact Lion” commercial song.
It’s included on Southern All Stars’ second album, 10 Numbers Karat.
This album, which also features “Itoshi no Ellie,” won the Best Album Award at the 21st Japan Record Awards.
The commercial, aimed at people who smoked before the non-smoking boom arrived, was in a sense avant-garde.
Don’t look back.hanī naitsu

This song is Honey Knights’ big hit “Furimukanaide” (“Don’t Look Back”).
After the song played, the commercial was set so that a woman seen from behind would turn around.
The singing group Honey Knights is well known for “Sasuke” and “Kaijū Ondo.” Although they are basically a bona fide choral group, it seems they did a lot of work for anime and commercials as a means of making a living.
