Let It BoogieSazan Ōrusutāzu

The LION “Zact Lion” commercial song.

It’s included on Southern All Stars’ second album, 10 Numbers Karat.

This album, which also features “Itoshi no Ellie,” won the Best Album Award at the 21st Japan Record Awards.

The commercial, aimed at people who smoked before the non-smoking boom arrived, was in a sense avant-garde.

Don’t look back.hanī naitsu

This song is Honey Knights’ big hit “Furimukanaide” (“Don’t Look Back”).

After the song played, the commercial was set so that a woman seen from behind would turn around.

The singing group Honey Knights is well known for “Sasuke” and “Kaijū Ondo.” Although they are basically a bona fide choral group, it seems they did a lot of work for anime and commercials as a means of making a living.

Don’t look back.hanī naitsu

Lion’s “Emeron Shampoo & Rinse,” which aired in the 1970s, became a social phenomenon thanks to its memorable jingle.

After the melancholic mood-enka line “Don’t look back,” a city name would be inserted, producing many variations like “Tokyo Woman” and “Hiroshima Woman,” and featuring numerous local beauties from across Japan.

Emeron Ondofushō

This is a song that was used in an Emeron soap commercial in the late 1960s, and the audio source seems to be a flexi disc.

The melody is full of that nostalgic Showa-era charm, paired with a cover featuring everyone nude.

And yet the product name, Emeron, has a somewhat stylish ring to it.

Among songs used in commercials, this could be considered one of the classic examples of the ‘product-name-chant’ style.

This was the commercial song for Lion Shampoo “Plain & Rich” in 1990.

It gained popularity also because Atsuko Asano, known for her beautiful black hair, appeared in the ad, and it went on to sell 360,000 copies.

Mishiru Kojima is said to be the daughter of actor Akira Takarada and Akiko Kojima, who won Miss Universe in 1959.

Lion Soflan Airis “Hello, NEW AIR. ~A New Experience~” VersionSakaguchi Kentarō

This is the song used in the commercial for Lion’s innovative fabric softener “Soflan Airis.” Performed by Bialystocks, the track features a folk-inspired, warm, and pleasant melody.

Its soulful, soaring vocals create a refreshing atmosphere that evokes a breath of fresh air.

Airing since April 2023, the commercial stars Kentaro Sakaguchi and Nana Komatsu, and the song has drawn attention as a perfect fit for the start of a new life chapter.

It’s a track you’ll want to listen to as spring arrives, recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the beginning of a new season.

It’s also great for moments when you want a fresh start or simply to relax.

Lion Soflan Airis “Hello, NEW AIR. ~First Time~” VersionKomatsu Nana

This work captures the blissful moment of being enveloped by the pleasant scent that spreads from freshly laundered clothes.

The gentle melody of Bialystocks’ “Hoozue” pairs beautifully with Nana Komatsu’s soft expressions, creating a refreshing atmosphere.

This commercial, which began airing in April 2023, holds a magical power that transforms the everyday act of doing laundry into a special experience.

It’s the perfect song for those times when you want to take a breather amid a busy day.

The moment of hanging the laundry can feel like a small ritual of happiness.

It’s a track that leaves you with a pure, cleansing feeling, as if your heart has been refreshed.
