I can’t put it into wordsOda Kazumasa

Kazumasa Oda’s “Kotoba ni Dekinai” is a self-cover of an Off Course song, included on the album LOOKING BACK 2.
It’s a bittersweet ballad in which the sense of yearning is conveyed not only through the sound but also through Oda’s transparent, chorus-layered vocals.
Known for the episode where Oda was moved to tears and couldn’t continue singing, it is a signature song for both Off Course and Kazumasa Oda.
It also became widely known after being used in a Meiji Life Insurance commercial in 1999, which helped it gain popularity across generations.

A Sign of CourageUshiwakamaru Saburota

The commercial song for Sankyo “Regain” that was on heavy rotation around 1990, at the peak of the bubble economy.
The singer credited as Ushiwakamaru Saburota is actually Saburo Tokito, who also appears in the ad.
The track was released as a single in 1989 and sold over 600,000 copies.
From the Orange Village to Springririi

Lily’s “From Orange Village to Spring” is a song released in 1976, included as the B-side of “Ie e Oide yo” (“Come Home”).
Set to a gentle sound with hints of country, it paints a picture of a peaceful village scene.
The song’s rhythm has a buoyant lightness, and the overall tender yet cheerful mood evokes a sense of love for one’s hometown.
As a commercial jingle, it’s best known for being used in a Shiseido ad, where the music and visuals together portray the rising excitement as the season turns toward spring.
FireworkKaty Perry

Actress Satomi Ishihara appears in the commercial introducing irumo, NTT Docomo’s new pricing plan, which appeals with the message of making smartphone fees—now a daily necessity—more accessible.
The background music is Katy Perry’s “Firework,” a standout hit of the 2010s whose exhilarating chorus is irresistibly uplifting.
Original song

This is a commercial for Orico Card featuring Gackt.
It has a musical-theater vibe, with Gackt dancing, but since dancing doesn’t seem to be his strong suit, the result feels rather innocent and unpolished.
To top it off, the person singing isn’t Gackt, which makes the intent of the ad unclear—it’s the kind of content that makes you want to sit down face-to-face with the ad agency and demand to know what exactly they were trying to make Gackt do.
Winter SongDREAMS COME TRUE

In 1998, it was featured as the CM song for Sony’s “SONY MD WALKMAN.” The bells and synthesizer create a sound brimming with the feel of a Christmas song.
The lyrics are entirely in English and are sung with great care.
BAD COMMUNICATIONB’z

This is a track from B’z’s first mini-album, BAD COMMUNICATION, and it features a rock dance beat.
Since much of the lyrics are in English, it was mistakenly listed on a Western music chart.
The song was also tied in with a commercial for Fujitsu’s FM TOWNS.
