JR East JR SKI SKI 2018-2019
For the 2018 winter standard commercial “JR SKISKI,” the campaign song selected was Sumika’s “White March.” The commercial featured Kentaro Ito and Honoka Matsumoto.
The exhilarating feeling that makes you want to go skiing right now is packed into Sumika’s characteristically refreshing melody.
Just as footprints are left when you walk on white snow, the lyrics express the desire to move forward while firmly leaving your own footprints on the path of life.
It’s a song that makes you want to keep stepping forward with growing joy—both in life and on a ski trip—in time with the march-like rhythm.

JR East ‘JR SKI SKI’ 2019
Eve’s “Shirogane,” chosen as the theme song for JR SKI SKI in 2019–2020, has an easy-to-love, bouncy guitar riff that’s really fun! Its worldview feels like it paints a grand silver landscape, with a sparkling quality that hints at the future to come.
Thinking about moments that will never return, it seems brimming with the youth and brilliant hope that exist in the “now.” It teaches us the importance of raw, all-out feelings and passion—a winter song that clears the heart.
JR East ‘JR SKISKI’ 2012
GReeeeN, which became a nationally beloved band with the theme song for NHK’s morning drama series “Yell,” released this song in 2012 as the CM song for JR East’s “JR SKISKI.” The multiple key changes throughout the track are striking, and the unexpected modulations make it a very fun listen.
