I was a total live-music girl, spending most of my part-time earnings on indie concert tickets, lol. I listen to music across genres, and since I’ve lived in India, I especially listen to a lot of Indian music.

This is the 2018 Sumitomo Life commercial, “Coming Home: Little Sister Levels Up.” Eita plays the unimpressive salaryman Hajime Ueda, and Nana Komatsu plays his younger sister, Hitomi Ueda.

During a family gathering after a memorial service, the Ueda siblings and their cousin get absorbed in a game.

In an Othello showdown between Komatsu and the comedy duo Kamaitachi, Komatsu wins in a landslide, freezing the atmosphere—a comedic setup.

The familiar scenario is quite heartwarming.

On his way, running late to a meeting, he starts doing little steps as he runs, and Takeyama Cunning, a passing pizza delivery guy, watches him—a surreal scenario.

Takahiro Pistols’ theme song also adds a great touch.
