Speaking of Kinmugi commercials, this is the song that comes to mind.

The CM features Erika Toda and Nao Omori.

Quite some time has passed since its release, but even now it doesn’t feel dated—it’s an easy-to-listen-to track.

It’s a classic from the good old days, where Eiichi Ohtaki’s clear voice matches perfectly with the exciting tempo.

Let's Become a Wonderful Past: '#Let's Become a Wonderful Past After Finishing the Drink – Ryunosuke Kamiki' Version

Until we meet againNakanō Yoshie

As part of a campaign encouraging PET bottle recycling, the commercial for the wonderful “Become a Great Past” campaign features the song “Mata Au Hi Made,” originally released in 1971 by Kiyohiko Ozaki.

The version actually used in the commercial is a cover sung by Yoshie Nakano, the vocalist of EGO-WRAPPIN’.

Although you only hear a short snippet of Nakano’s performance in the ad, it conveys a sense of the same brightness and moody atmosphere found in Ozaki’s original.

I’d love to hear the full track.

Suntory Natural Mineral Water “With the Great Outdoors on Our Side”

dogwood (flowering dogwood)Hitoto Yo

This commercial depicts actor Tasuku Emoto as a father chasing his child as they dash through the great outdoors.

Their break-time scene is another key moment: the expansive landscape paired with Suntory Natural Mineral Water, along with Emoto’s warm smile, conveys a gentle sense of refreshment.

The featured music is a choral rendition of “Hanamizuki,” whose beautiful harmonies seem to further highlight the beauty of nature.

Sweet Whispers (Parole Parole)Dalida & Alan Delon

This song was used in the 2013 commercial for “BOSS Zeitaku Bitou × Kuro no Bitou” featuring Nao Omori, Hidetoshi Nishijima, and Ai Hashimoto.

The song originally came from Italy and was released in 1972, but the following year Dalida and Alain Delon covered it in French.

This song was used in a 2003 commercial for “Calori” featuring Yuka.

In that commercial, the version used was a cover of “I’m in the Mood for Dancing” by BONNIE PINK.

Suntory Tennensui Sparkling Lemon “Lemo-Spa! Seasonal Lemon” Version

Kito-kito – The Four-Legged DanceTakagi Masakatsu

Composed by Masakatsu Takagi, a musician from Kyoto who has worked on numerous film scores and commercial songs, this piece is featured in the commercial for Natural Mineral Water Sparkling Lemon.

If you’re a film buff, you may have recognized it: it’s the same track that played in Mamoru Hosoda’s film “Wolf Children.” The lively piano melodies combined with an expansive, nature-evoking orchestral arrangement make for a refreshing track that lifts your spirits.

Suntory Single Malt Whisky Hakushu “Refreshing Smoky” Version

The Last Rose Of Summer

Set against footage of the Southern Alps and the Hakushu Distillery, this is a commercial for Suntory’s Hakushu whisky.

In a calm, measured narration, it introduces the brand’s dedication to whisky-making.

The background music is the Irish folk song “The Last Rose of Summer,” whose gentle, soothing warmth perfectly matches the mood of the commercial.
