Naotaro Moriyama, who has released numerous classic ballads, wrote “Samo Arinan” as the theme song for the film Lost Care.

He read the film’s script and drew inspiration from it to compose the piece.

The song sings about “kindness,” yet it carries a delicate, somewhat lonely impression—another point that resonates with the film’s story.

Incidentally, “samo arinan” means “something that is only natural” or “it stands to reason.”

NO MORE CRYD-51

NO MORE CRYD-51

“NO MORE CRY” is the third single by D-51.

It was released in February 2005.

It became a big hit, partly because it was used as the theme song for the TV drama Gokusen.

With this song, they also made their first appearance at the year-end NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen.

It’s a popular, refreshing encouragement song.

Last chanceSomething ELse

I’m sure there are countless people who drew courage from this song.

The chorus phrase really sticks with you.

This is the track that overturned the band’s do-or-die situation after they took on the outrageous TV variety show “Raiha Shonen” challenge where they’d have to disband if they failed.

When everyone around you keeps moving ahead and you’re the only one not getting results, it’s easy to panic—but thanks to Last Chance’s relaxed melody and powerful vocals, it keeps you from falling apart at the very last moment.

If you keep going without giving up, your feelings are bound to reach someone, somewhere.

Further awayRemioromen

It was released in 2008 as Remioromen’s 12th single.

Commissioned as the theme song for Fuji TV’s coverage of the Beijing Olympics, it was created during their 2008 tour.

The song powerfully delivers a passionate sound and a message about moving forward without setting limits for yourself and never giving up.

ALWAYSMitsunaga Ryota

Just the opening phrase gives me energy.

This was Ryota Mitsunaga’s first single, released in 2003.

Some of you might be reminded of the drama “Itsumo Futari de,” which was used as a tie-in and follows a protagonist chasing the dream of becoming a novelist.

And when you learn about Mitsunaga’s own story—overcoming setbacks in soccer and being saved by music—you can feel the lyrics’ power even more.

Maybe finding something you can be passionate about is a kind of happiness.

The bright, transparent sound and Mitsunaga’s delicate vocals really move me!

It’s a poppy, upbeat track that gives you the courage to move forward.
