Pasona JOB HUB ProShare: “The Meandering Project” Edition

ProShare TV commercial “The Meandering Project” 30-second version

The Pasona JOB HUB commercial for its ProShare service, “The Wandering Project.” Through a concrete episode in which a professional in new business launches is dispatched from ProShare to a site thrown into confusion during the kickoff of a new venture, it clearly conveys what ProShare is.

It highlights that you can expect the unique contributions of seasoned professionals—not only smoothing operations but also energizing the motivation of internal team members.

The charming, animation-style visuals also create a sense of familiarity.

House Foods “Let’s Eat at Home” – ‘Promotional Truck’ Version

[CM] House Foods Curry — Let’s eat at home. House Foods #JiyunVariousVideos

The nostalgic House Foods commercial from the “Let’s Eat at Home” series, the “Promotional Car” edition.

This “Promotional Car” spot—along with the other three ads in the “Let’s Eat at Home” series—was created by director Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli.

It depicts a scene where curry is advertised from a promotional car, as well as scenes of making and selling curry right in front of a shop.

In fact, all of these were real sights from the early Showa era! Both the promotional car and the exterior design of the shop are drawn to closely resemble those of the time.

Rendered with Ghibli’s signature warmth, it’s a commercial full of charm.

Haagen-Dazs “MOON ON THE SPOON”

[Animated CM] Häagen-Dazs Japan “MOON ON THE SPOON” — Studio Colorido

In the Häagen-Dazs commercial “MOON ON THE SPOON,” Ayami Nakajo—who has appeared in previous ads—shows up in animated form.

Character design was handled by animator Hitomi Kariya, known for creating the opening animation for the NHK morning drama series Natsuzora.

When a spoon taps the still-firm Häagen-Dazs just taken out of the freezer, a beautiful moon shining in the night sky appears reflected on it.

As she gazes at the moon with her beloved cat, the Häagen-Dazs reaches the perfect softness! Upon tasting it, she’s so enchanted by the deliciousness that she breaks into a joyful dance.

The narration for the commercial is also performed by Ayami Nakajo.

A Nissin Honmen commercial featuring singer-songwriter Koresawa, who handled the music.

The mascot characters, Reko-chan and Inu-kun, appear and show off a dance, with Reko-chan urging Inu-kun to try Nissin Honmen.

Through the cute, catchy animation, the deliciousness of Nissin Honmen really comes across.

The background music is a parody of Koresawa’s “Uwaki Shitara Akan de.” Like the original, the Kansai-dialect lyrics are striking and leave a strong impression.

Kowa Q&P Kowa Healing “Bed Dive” Version

This is a commercial introducing QP Kowa Healing, which helps with recovery from fatigue.

Since it doesn’t contain caffeine, it’s recommended because you can easily take it even before bed.

Its effects appear while you sleep, leaving you feeling refreshed when you wake up—an appealing benefit that’s clearly presented in an animated format.

Netflix’s commercial “Netflix Special Animation Where Words Overflow in Anime” features a ton of anime! The footage is made up of scenes from a variety of genres available on Netflix, such as Summer Wars, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Baki Hanma.

Here and there, original animation is inserted showing people recommending those shows to friends with a “Watch this!” or chatting like “We absolutely have to watch the finale!” At first glance it might look like they simply stitched together clips from various shows, but in fact the visuals subtly sync with the commercial’s theme song playing in the background! For example, during the initial “Watch this!” plea, the anime clip also shows a character bowing in some way.

The CM song is performed by the virtual singer Rime.

Z-kai “Crossroad”

Makoto Shinkai’s “Cross Road” — 120-second Entrance Exam Support Story | Z-kai

The Z-kai commercial “Cross Road” was directed by Makoto Shinkai, known for Your Name and Weathering With You.

Produced as a short animated film, the commercial’s quality could easily make you mistake it for Shinkai’s latest feature.

Character design and animation direction were handled by Masayoshi Tanaka, who also did the character designs for the anime Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day.

The story portrays a boy and a girl, living in completely different places and preparing for university entrance exams, who each study with Z-kai and later meet at the same university—an encounter that feels like destiny.

It’s the kind of commercial that makes you think, “I want to see a full-length feature, not just a short!”
