KitKat: “Let KitKat be the catalyst.”

This KitKat commercial was produced in 2022 to launch the first new brand campaign in four years, “It all starts with KitKat.” Using illustrations that resemble manga drafts, it depicts how various changes unfold with KitKat as the catalyst.
It concludes with a shot of the blue sky that makes it feel as if you yourself are eating a KitKat at that very moment.

The warm atmosphere throughout the commercial leaves you with a cozy, heartwarming feeling.
Marukome Ryotei no Aji “My Grandmother” Version

This is an animated commercial based on the story of a Marukome employee’s grandmother.
A female employee sent Marukome miso soup to her 97-year-old grandmother who lives alone.
In response, the grandmother emailed to say thank you and wrote about how delighted she was.
The employee talks about how, although her grandmother lives energetically on her own, she’s increasingly worried as there are more things her grandmother can’t do by herself.
The grandmother, meanwhile, says that even though she relies on help from those around her, she’s happy to be cared for by her granddaughter like this.
It’s a moving commercial that touches the heart, portraying two people whose feelings connect despite the distance between them.

The nostalgic House Foods commercial from the “Let’s Eat at Home” series, the “Promotional Car” edition.

It depicts a scene where curry is advertised from a promotional car, as well as scenes of making and selling curry right in front of a shop.
In fact, all of these were real sights from the early Showa era! Both the promotional car and the exterior design of the shop are drawn to closely resemble those of the time.
Rendered with Ghibli’s signature warmth, it’s a commercial full of charm.
