Keep Tryin’Utada Hikaru

Released in 2006 as Hikaru Utada’s 16th single.
The song was used in a LISMO! commercial and was distributed for free as a full ringtone download as part of a campaign.
It also drew attention because the impersonation entertainer Miracle Hikaru appeared as an extra in the music video.
Love SongKobayashi Sachiko & Umezawa Fumio

A first-ever duet by Tomio Umezawa, a star of popular theater known as the “Tamasaburo of the Shitamachi,” and Sachiko Kobayashi, famed for her flamboyant costumes and for singing VOCALOID songs.
The track was featured in the 2017 “Love Song” installment of au’s Santaro commercial series.
Even though the lyrics are humorously tailored to the ad’s theme, the commanding vocals of these two veterans make their presence undeniable.
It’s a short piece, but a thoroughly satisfying number.
Don’t Look Back In AngerOasis

The song used in au’s commercial “PERFECT SYNC.” is “Don’t Look Back in Anger” by the British rock band Oasis.
Released as a single in 1996, it’s a classic that reached number one on the UK Singles Chart.
The commercial portrays a large crowd gathered at a stadium with their mobile phones, along with people in the stands singing “Don’t Look Back in Anger” in unison.
Its distinctly British rock sound carries a certain poignancy that makes it especially appealing—be sure to give it a listen!
NEW KAWAIIFRUITS ZIPPER

This commercial focuses on the photo features of Google Pixel, which are also available from au, and depicts FRUITS ZIPPER enjoying taking pictures.
It highlights how you can freely edit photos—like combining shots taken in various locations with mascots—and keep your memories in a cute way.
Even the edits that might seem over the top help convey the excitement of the trip.
The song that enhances the fun atmosphere of the commercial is FRUITS ZIPPER’s “NEW KAWAII.” Set to a bright and glamorous sound, it’s a track that pursues cuteness, letting both cuteness and fun come through at the same time.
crescent moonayaka

Mikazuki is Ayaka’s fourth single and was used as the CM song for au’s “LISMO” from September to November 2006.
The song is notable for its beautiful voice and melody, and the title “Mikazuki” (Crescent Moon) is said to represent the very shape of a mobile phone.
Just… I want to see youEXILE

Released in 2005 as EXILE’s 19th single.
As the campaign song for “au × EXILE,” the full ringtone version was distributed free to au users, and a limited edition of 5,000 copies of “Tada… Aitakute (au version)” was released.
It became EXILE’s second song to reach No.
1 on the Oricon chart.
KalinkaNagano Akira (APOGEE)

The song “Kalinka,” which is used as the BGM in au’s Santaro series commercial “Connecting Story,” might be easy to tune out because the ad itself is so striking, but if you listen closely you’ll realize it’s that tune everyone knows—even if you don’t know the title, it’s “that often-heard song!” This piece is a Russian folk song, loved as a popular Russian song; for some people, hearing it immediately evokes an image of Russia.
In Japan, there are Japanese lyrics translated by cellist Yorito Inoue, and the song is also used as background music in the game Puyo Puyo Tetris.
