Suntory “Vendor Story” Version

There aren’t many musicians who can create songs that resonate so deeply with just an acoustic guitar and vocals.
This is a bold Japanese-language cover of a Frank Sinatra classic.
The song was chosen for a commercial featuring a street-side vending machine.
The ad was released exclusively on the web in April 2019.
It was well received and remains one of the series’ most popular installments.
Suntory CAFE de BOSS Fluffy Cappuccino / CAFE de BOSS Gently Sweet Espresso, Alien Jones’s Earth Research Series “Long-Established Shop” Episode

The theme of this commercial is “slacking off.” Because of the “sabo” connection, this song is used—many of you might find it nostalgic.
Alien Jones has come to conduct an undercover investigation at a long-established Japanese confectionery shop.
Thanks to VFX, the shop owner played by Danshun Tatekawa has been de-aged to how he looked 20 years ago.
Along with that, the BOSS label has also been changed to a classic version.
The role of the son is played by the idea man, Taiiku Okazaki, which makes it pretty amusing!

Summary of Suntory BOSS commercials: charmingly humorous direction (41–50)
A commercial from the 2013 “Alien Jones” series.
It’s set up so that Tommy Lee Jones, who plays Alien Jones, is exploring Earth while working at a pizza place.
The background music features the “X-Files Theme,” which is often used in mystery shows, making it a perfect fit for the alien concept.
This is a commercial from the 2013 “BOSS 20th Anniversary Campaign.” The campaign offered a luxurious gold watch as a prize, and Kinya Kitaoji appears in the ad playing a powerful politician.
The background music is “Lara’s Theme” from the film Doctor Zhivago, which perfectly matches the atmosphere of the mansion.
Suntory CRAFT BOSS “A New Breeze: Kotatsu” Version

A bizarre scene where all the office desks have been replaced with kotatsu.
As Hana Sugisaki explains, “We’re almost finished,” an alien named Jones, disguised as a contractor, is busily at work behind her.
Masato Sakai, playing the boss, is stunned by the bold makeover, muttering, “Kotatsu, huh?” At that moment, a strong gust whooshes in from the front, and the title “A new wind has blown” appears.
The whole series really is surreal.
The music is by Michael Bublé, a male big-band singer who’s also active as a singer-songwriter and actor.
Suntory PREMIUM BOSS Alien Jones Series: “Television and Youth” Episode

The background music uses the track “Darren” from the soundtrack of the film “All or Nothing” (Japanese title: “Hikari no Machi”).
