Funny Commercials [June 2025] (81–90)
BOOKOFF: ‘A Place Everyone Can Be Absorbed In’ (Commercial)

This commercial showcases how much fun Book Off is by depicting a family enjoying their time there.
The dad looks like he’s being dragged to different spots around the store, and the comical depiction of his arm stretching conveys just how spacious the place is.
It’s also key that each family member is looking at something different, which communicates the variety of products and the richness of the selection.
The scene divisions using the dad’s elongated arms and legs, among other elements, create a quirky, comedic world that leaves a strong impression.
Corona “Hybrid Humidifier HS Series” EditionYoshio Kojima

In a commercial introducing CORONA’s hybrid humidifier, Yoshio Kojima appears wearing a full-body tights suit.
Kojima sticks to the filter, looks straight into the camera, and says “Weeei!” Then, in a costume change to white, countless Kojimas burst out as fresh air.
With such explosive multiplication, you can’t help but wonder how many there are and feel like counting them.
Toyo Suisan Maruchan Akai Kitsune Midori no Tanuki “The Two Who Can’t Go Home – Year-End” VersionTetsuya Takeda, Kumiko Aso, Jiro (Shisonnu)

This commercial depicts a scene where Jiro and Kumiko Aso, a couple, finish their date but linger, reluctant to part even though it’s time to go home.
As they keep backing away while still facing each other, Kumiko suggests, “We won’t get home like this—let’s turn around on the count of three.” When they turn around on her cue, she suddenly dashes off and heads home.
It turns out she was eager to get back quickly to eat toshikoshi soba.
Takeda Tetsuya’s line to the left-behind Jiro—“Sorry about my Kumiko”—adds a nice touch of humor.
Hometown Tax Donation Site Satofull: ‘The First Time, That Moment’ EditionTokyo 03, Kenichi Endo, Yumi Kawai

Appearing in the commercial are Endo as a delivery staff member, Kawai as a female office worker, and Tokyo 03 as male employees.
Tokyo 03, finding it curious that Endo and Kawai exchange a light nod, asks if they know each other.
Kawai replies, “He was the one who delivered my first Satoful order.” Hearing that, Endo seems to gain confidence and says, “I knew it.” When asked how he realized it was her first time receiving one, he deadpans, “Even the box of scallops was nervous.” The atmosphere freezes for a moment, but it’s funny how, despite their confusion, they almost find themselves convinced.
McDonald’s Chiki-Chikin: “Chiki-Chikin Is Great feat. Masako Nozawa, Kohei Uchimura, Vega, and FUWAMOCO”

In this commercial featuring adorable illustrations of Masako Nozawa and Kohei Uchimura, they introduce Chiki-Chicken using a parody of “It’s Great to Be Human,” the theme song from Manga Nihon Mukashi Banashi.
Between the cute singing, Nozawa delivers lines in Goku’s voice from Dragon Ball, and Vega from the Street Fighter series even makes an appearance, creating a delightfully humorous progression.
It’s a playful, memorable commercial that really sticks with you.
Suntory Pepsi “Shall we have Pepsi and KFC today?” version Kuruma Takahira, Nagano

It’s a truly surreal commercial showing Kuruma Takahira attempting Nagano’s routine under Nagano’s watchful eye.
In Nagano’s act, Van Gogh and Lassen make appearances, but in this ad he declares, “At year’s end, KFC chicken and Pepsi are essential.” Kuruma’s powerful screams rival Nagano’s, leaving Nagano looking satisfied.
The impact is tremendous—once you’ve seen it, you can’t forget this commercial.
Funny commercials [June 2025] (91–100)
AC Japan “EZ DO Pulse Check” (version)DJ KOO

DJ KOO is grooving in front of the turntables, dropping beats—but something seems off.
The beats are breaking and not flowing smoothly.
The beat he was playing was a metaphor for a human pulse, and the interruptions represented arrhythmia.
This commercial encourages people to regularly check their pulse to detect such issues early.
Playing on TRF’s hit song “EZ DO DANCE,” the catchy slogan “EZ DO Kenmyaku” (EZ DO Pulse Check) really sticks in your mind.
