Funny Commercials [June 2025] (41–50)
Mori Trust Tora and MoriTora “The Lady and Mampei Hotel” EditionKeiko Kitagawa

This is a commercial with a unique worldview that promotes the appealing initiatives undertaken by Mori Trust through a conversation between a lady, played by Keiko Kitagawa, and a tiger.
The tiger talks about the charms of the Manpei Hotel, while the lady praises the excellence of Mori Trust, causing a subtle clash in their exchange.
In the end, the tiger yields to the lady’s words, conveying the greatness of Mori Trust.
It strongly highlights what the company is involved in, giving a sense of confidence in their business.
Career Design Center type Kansai × Engineer “Hyper Tooth” EditionNEW!Audrey

This commercial shows Kasuga strongly affirming that changing jobs to improve your skills is a great thing, and appeals that type will support you in that.
Wakabayashi is bothered by Kasuga’s somewhat condescending affirmation, leading to a discussion about whether Kasuga himself is actually upskilling.
It ends comically with Kasuga deflecting using a gag, and the overall cheerful tone gives the impression of highlighting the positive side of changing jobs.
Open House My Home Man “INNOVAS” EditionMasato Sakai, Ryuji Akiyama

This commercial features a surreal world where Masato Sakai grows gigantic to protect his own land.
In this episode, while he fights to keep monsters from entering the plot where he plans to build his home, a commercial featuring Ryuji Akiyama can be heard.
As he battles with a single-family house in mind, he hears information that a condominium is also an option, and his face shows confusion.
The lightly spoken narration, his seemingly exaggerated look of surprise, and the battle with the monster together create a comedic atmosphere through their abundance of information.
Sumitomo Life Dollar Accumulation Vitality ‘Shitara Is Not Just Dancing’ VersionBananaman

This commercial uses a parody that 2010s Japanese rock fans would recognize from the opening scene alone.
The CM’s BGM is a parody version of Frederic’s 2014 signature song “Oddloop,” and Himura and Shitara recreate the music video from back then.
The contrast between “Himura, who’s just doing ___” and “Shitara, who’s not just doing ___,” comparing whether they’ve joined Vitality, is striking.
Thanks to the song’s catchiness and the memorable parody-driven direction, it’s a commercial you won’t forget after seeing it once.
HARD-OFF: ‘That Doesn’t Matter’ EditionYoshio Kojima

This is a commercial introducing how Hard Off handles junk items and promoting the idea that even things with some defects might still be useful.
In it, Yoshio Kojima appears with a “malfunction” where his catchphrase “Sonna no kankei nee” (“That doesn’t matter!”) keeps cutting off and repeating.
The ad suggests that if you focus on his kicking power, he might actually be useful, leading to that development.
Even if the gag itself is a bit rough, he proves perfect for pumping air, showcasing the unique fun of junk items.
The sight of Yoshio Kojima earnestly repeating his gag while a child stares at him stone-faced also draws laughs from viewers.
Riken Indian Curry Shop’s Mysterious Dressing: “Entering the Store” Edition

This commercial introduces the curious charms of an Indian curry restaurant in town, expressing love for its captivating, one-of-a-kind world—including its distinctive flavors.
It spotlights the salad among the dishes served there, portraying both the remarkable speed of service and the allure of a mysterious, unidentifiable dressing.
The story then develops with Riken turning this enigmatic dressing into a product, highlighting that you can enjoy it at home, too.
Because the ad shows the interior of the restaurant in such detail, it also conveys how faithfully it recreates the shop’s atmosphere, to the point that your image of the place really expands.
McDonald’s Yoru Mac “Night Mac is… Potenage January” editionToshiaki Karasawa, Sairi Ito

This is a commercial introducing the ‘Pote-Nage’ from Night Mac, which is sold starting at 5 p.m.
It depicts Sairi Ito telling a friend the storyline of a popular series of commercials featuring herself and Toshiaki Karasawa.
For those familiar with the previous commercials, this one feels even more entertaining.
Above all, Ito’s lively storytelling clearly conveys the concept that “Night Mac is all about having fun.”
