This touching, heartwarming narrative is from a commercial for an itch relief product that can be used in the ear and doesn’t sting.

The three members of Tokyo 03 are drinking at an izakaya, and three moving scenes unfold.

Akagi Nyugyo Milkrea Chocolate and Vanilla “What’s That Supposed to Mean?” Version

Milkrea Chocolate and Vanilla: What Do You Mean? Long Version

It’s a commercial that single-mindedly showcases Milcrea’s features, and the direction is oddly surreal and striking.

In response to the description “ice cream with stretchy milk,” a man-and-woman duo keep singing, “What do you mean?” “This is what it means.” “That’s what it means,” which, combined with the unique choreography, makes it extremely surreal.

Once you see it, it sticks in your memory, and you’ll definitely want to watch it again.

Kobayashi Pharmaceutical Hananoa “Sharing the ‘Suu’” / “The ‘Suu’ Won’t Stop”Atsuhiro Tsuda

This is a Hananoa commercial packed with his signature gags like “Goi-goi-suu” and “I’ll give you a suu.” It portrays an exchange between Tsuda, who’s suffering from hay fever, and his manager.

The conversation is so surreal that many viewers probably couldn’t help but laugh.

At the end of the ad, there’s a shot of Tsuda smiling while doing a nasal rinse, and that distinctive visual makes it even funnier.
