JR East ‘Shinkansen YEAR 2017’ – Shinkansen Made by Everyone, Aomori Edition (Project Movie)

DE DE MOUSE shot to prominence after performing at the legendary RAW LIFE party held in Tokyo in 2006.
He’s a multi-player who handles everything from programming and mixing to visuals.
He chops and deconstructs sampled vocal snippets, then reconstructs them into mysterious melodies that sound as if sung by aliens.
When these are intertwined with vividly shimmering synths, a floating sensation, and euphoric, uplifting drums, the result is the one-and-only DE DE MOUSE world—definitely worth checking out.
JR East JR SKISKI White and Heat. “Boys” Version / “Girls” VersionYuzu Aoki, Natsuki Deguchi

This is the 2025 version of JR East’s annual ski trip campaign, JR SKISKI.
This time, Yuzu Aoki and Natsuki Deguchi appear, and the ad shows them enjoying their first time snowboarding.
Most of the scenes feature the group having fun together, but there’s a fleeting moment when Aoki and Deguchi lock eyes that really makes your heart skip a beat.
The BGM is “you’re my” by the three-piece band Pablo Haiku, an upbeat, refreshing track written specifically for this commercial.
JR East ‘Shinkansen YEAR 2017’ — Shinkansen Running Through the Four Seasons (version)

This song, used in JR East’s “Shinkansen YEAR 2017” commercial (The Shinkansen Running Through the Four Seasons), is an original track by composer fu_mou, who produces and writes songs for anime and idol groups such as Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku and Up Up Girls (Kari).
He is also known for his remixes of Yuzu’s “Irotoridori” and Porter Robinson’s “Flicker.” While he specializes in electronica and rock, this CM track stands out for its delicate sound that evokes “wa” and Japan’s distinct four seasons.
It combines a sense of speed with a relaxing comfort—something that would feel right at home playing in a ryokan.
JR Smart EX “Easy! Change Reservation” version

This is a commercial introducing the convenience of Smart EX, the Shinkansen’s online reservation service.
In the new “Easy! Change Reservations” edition, it highlights how you can easily and freely modify your reserved Shinkansen tickets right on your smartphone.
Since travel often comes with sudden plan changes, it’s a truly welcome feature.
The background music is “Love Later” by sumika, included on their 2025 album “Vermillion’s.” With its mellow vibe, the song charmingly portrays love through letters.
JR East ‘JR SKISKI 2018-19’

This is a commercial featuring a song by sumika, a four-piece pop-rock band from Kanagawa Prefecture.
Don’t you ever feel like ditching work and just going somewhere? If you’re a working adult, you probably get it.
Maybe it’s the exhilarating sound, but that feeling gets even stronger.
The song is included on their mini album “Chime,” released in 2019, so if you’re interested, be sure to pick up a copy.
