JR East ‘JR SKISKI 2018-19’

This is a commercial featuring a song by sumika, a four-piece pop-rock band from Kanagawa Prefecture.
Don’t you ever feel like ditching work and just going somewhere? If you’re a working adult, you probably get it.
Maybe it’s the exhilarating sound, but that feeling gets even stronger.
The song is included on their mini album “Chime,” released in 2019, so if you’re interested, be sure to pick up a copy.
It was released in 2007 as Ketsumeishi’s 17th single.
It was used as the CM song for JR East’s commercial commemorating the 20th anniversary of the JR Group’s establishment, marking Ketsumeishi’s first tie-in song in a while.
JR Central (Central Japan Railway Company) ‘Yes, let’s go to Kyoto.’ 2019 Spring — Spring is dawn / Sunrise version — 30 seconds

“My Favorite Things,” a song from the musical The Sound of Music, is not only featured in the show but also known as a jazz standard.
In this JR Central “Yes, let’s go to Kyoto” commercial, you can enjoy an arrangement by Tokyo Shiokouji.
It perfectly captures the atmosphere of a Kyoto morning.
JR East Japan ‘Let’s go, Tohoku.’ Women’s Summer Edition 30 seconds

This commercial features actress Mayu Matsuoka embarking on a Tohoku trip with two other women.
The visuals beautifully capture the rich allure of Tohoku’s nature.
The music is an original track for the ad, and the clear, airy female vocals pair wonderfully with the snowy scenery.
It even makes you think, maybe I’ll go to Tokyo this winter.
JR East ‘History of Transformation’ Version 30 Seconds

“My Way,” featured in JR East’s 2018 commercial “History of Transformation,” is a version arranged by NOT WONK, a rock band from Hokkaido, of Frank Sinatra’s signature song.
Departing from the original’s relaxed, majestic feel, this take is crafted with a stylish, cool, urban vibe.
Its refreshing sound, brimming with excitement and a sense of speed, is sure to make you think, “All right, let’s head out now!”
