Pocari Sweat - In Front of the Music Store (15s) Commercial, starring Yō Yoshida and Rio Suzuki, 2017.11

The song playing in the “In Front of the Music Shop” version was “I Loved You, Loved You, Loved You.” The original is a duet by Hiroshi Wada and the Mahina Stars & Miyoko Tashiro, who churned out hit songs through collaborations with female singers, and in the commercial it’s performed with new lyrics.

Yoshida Yō and Suzuki Rio singing while doing air-instrument performances are adorable.

The arrangement and the song’s gentle vibe are wonderful too—it makes you feel like you want to stay playful no matter how old you are, and it has a cozy warmth that seems to take the chill out of winter, which is just lovely.
