Morinaga’s Choco Monaka Jumbo celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022.

It’s one of those famous ice creams you’ve probably tried at least once, right? In the “Time Travel” commercial that lets you grasp the product’s history at a glance, Kanjani Eight ride a time machine and appear on screen.

You can watch it feeling like you’re time-traveling with them—from the original 1972 launch packaging, to the chocolate sauce era of 1980, and to 1996 when it took on the “Jumbo” name and grew 1.5 times larger.

Seeing it like this really makes you want to eat one, doesn’t it?

In this ad, titled “Polinky Theater,” three Polinkys appear on stage and sing the Polinky song.

It’s a visual that clearly captures that moment when you eat something sweet while you’re tired and you can almost feel some happy substance being released in your brain (lol).

Who is the person Yui Aragaki whispers “You’re special” to? An unexpected co-star appears in the Meltykiss commercial.

This is the Morinaga Otama Chocoball commercial titled “Kari-Saku! Otama Chocoball,” featuring Soiya Igari and Ryuto Sakuma, members of the five-member male idol group HiHi Jets.

The revamped Otama Chocoball’s texture is described as “kari-saku,” playfully combining Igari’s “gari” and Sakuma’s “saku” to rhythmically and comically convey the crunchy-crispy bite.

The sound is satisfying, and the catchy vibe is addictive—you might just find yourself eating too many!
