Funny Commercials [June 2025] (161–170)

Lotte KAZITTE! “Bite it, bite it♪” version

Lotte KAZITTE! Web Commercial “Bite it, bite it♪” Version 15 Seconds

In this commercial, they pay homage to the internet meme of the screaming marmot.

After the marmots eating KAZITTE! describe its tough, satisfying crunch and fruity flavor, they shout, “Yum!” It’s a memorable ad that’s fun to watch not only for those familiar with the original meme but also for those who aren’t.

SoftBank Shirato Family Mystery Train: The Interrogation of Rei KikukawaRei Kikukawa, Masato Sakai

SoftBank commercial Shirato Family Mystery Train: “Rei Kikukawa’s Interrogation” 30-second version

This is a SoftBank commercial that incorporates a parody of the Hazuki Loupe ads.

It’s one entry in the “Shirato Family Mystery Train” series, where Rei Kikukawa is questioned by a detective played by Masato Sakai.

In it, Kikukawa steps on a smartphone left on a chair and lets out a little “Eek!”, and she recreates elements from her Hazuki Loupe appearances, saying lines like “Lovely” and “I love it.” It’s a playful CM that shows the fun spirit of both SoftBank and Hazuki Loupe!

Funny Commercials [June 2025] (171–180)

IRIS OHYAMA OSH “Overwashing” EditionRyo Yoshizawa

[Ryo Yoshizawa] OSH “Washing Too Much” Version 30 Seconds

This commercial introduces how powerful Iris Ohyama’s washing machine is through a conversation with a distinctive tempo.

When the wife laments that the message written on a uniform got washed away, Ryo Yoshizawa reassures her by saying it’s his fault for switching to an Iris Ohyama washing machine.

Although he’s supposed to be comforting his wife, the way he occasionally looks at us is striking, making it clear that it’s really an appeal to the machine’s strong cleaning power.

It’s a strangely unsettling twist to complain about how well it cleans, and his unique facial expressions in that moment are memorable, aren’t they?

IRIS OHYAMA Massive Freezing Capacity “Made Too Much” VersionRyo Yoshizawa

[Ryo Yoshizawa] Dai Tōryō 'Made Too Much' Version 30 Seconds

This commercial promotes Iris Ohyama’s refrigerator by highlighting its large-capacity freezer through a uniquely troublesome scenario.

It presents the quirky idea that the oversized freezer leads to making too many dumplings, and the way it escalates into a complaint call even feels a bit eerie.

Although it’s depicted as a problem here, the feature is actually useful—letting you store any excess you make.

By deliberately framing it as a negative, the ad effectively brings out the positive side.

Jumbo Lottery “Ukulele” Version / “Can’t Stop” VersionSatoshi Tsumabuki, Mio Imada, Ryo Narita

This commercial features a ukulele shaped like the mascot character Kuu-chan, and anyone who picks it up starts acting strangely.

In the “Ukulele” version, Ryō Narita finds himself singing the Summer Jumbo jingle uncontrollably as soon as he grabs the ukulele.

Next, Mio Imada and Satoshi Tsumabuki also pick up the ukulele, and—like clockwork—end up singing against their will, making for a humorous and entertaining turn of events.

Meanwhile, in the “Can’t Stop” version, Ryō Narita, singing with the ukulele in hand, becomes unable to let it go, escalating into increasingly over-the-top motions as he keeps singing—an episode brimming with humor.

The highlight is Narita’s wonderful smile.

Mold-Prevention Bathroom Muwender: “The One That Makes You Feel You Did Something” EditionNobuhiro Sakuma

KINCHO Mold Prevention Muen-da Bath CM “The Guy Who Acts Like He Did It” Version 30 Seconds

This commercial opens with producer Nobuyuki Sakuma—who has long supported the TV industry behind the scenes—saying that invisible household chores are part of his backstage job.

It highlights how using Mold-Preventing Muender makes it easy to stop mold from forming.

Sakuma speaks with a pretty smug look on his face, but because the product is almost too effortless, the ad ultimately earns its title: “The Guy Who Acts Like He Did Something.” It’s a calm yet distinctly humorous and entertaining spot.

Kinchō Clean Flow Deodorizing Spray That Eliminates Toilet Odors: “Koi (Love)” EditionKyle Card

KINCHO CLEANFLOW Cleanflow Toilet Odor-Eliminating Deodorant Spray TV Commercial “Love” Version 15 Seconds

This is a commercial featuring actor Kyle Card introducing a deodorizing spray that eliminates toilet odors.

It’s memorable how he suavely remarks that getting rid of toilet smells is like love: pressing the spray over and over is nonsense—one push is enough.

According to KINCHO’s official website, Kyle, who is from Canada, was directed to perform with the flair of an Italian ladies’ man for the ad.
