Uchiage Hanabi, a song beloved by many listeners as a summer anthem, is a collaboration between Kenshi Yonezu and DAOKO.

Its soothing melody intertwines beautifully with lyrics that resonate deeply, evoking the bittersweet feeling of summer’s end and an ineffable sense of young love.

It also calls to mind the refreshing memories of adolescence.

The track served as the theme song for the film Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom? and was featured in Lotte’s ice cream “Sou” commercial.

A slightly bittersweet summer tune, DEEN’s “Hitomi Sorasanaide.” Released in 1994 and widely known as a Pocari Sweat commercial song, its fresh, clear vocals and music evoke a summery mood.

At the same time, the lyrics express a man’s anxiety about the end of a romance and his wavering feelings, capturing the poignancy of youth.

Being chosen for a commercial that’s practically a midsummer tradition means that every listen revives summer memories while letting you savor a melody that truly touches the heart.

It was also tied in with several Nippon TV programs, so many of you may already be familiar with it.

Their song “GO GO Summer!” was used as the commercial song for NTT docomo’s mobile phone “Optimus bright L-07C,” and the members themselves appeared in the ad.

At the time, I often heard the song not only in the commercial but also on TV programs.

The CM, featuring KARA playfully enjoying themselves on a sandy beach under the blue sky, was cute and dazzling.
